Our subjects include Bible
and Language Arts (Outlining, Topic Study, Character Study, Commentary,
Vocabulary), Math, Science, Geography, History, Reading, Grammar, Spelling,
Literature, Creative Writing, Music Appreciation, Piano, Drawing, Current
Events, Sports and Life Skills (Cooking, Home Management, Sewing, Yard
Maintenance, Time Management, etc.)
Not every subject is
studied every day; some once a week or every two weeks. We use an eclectic
approach which includes hands-on activities, lapbooking,
crafts, drama, narration, field trips, and many other fun ways to learn.
The main desire of our homeschool is to first train up our children in a way that would
please God, secondly prepare them for real-life situations, and lastly to equip
them with the academics that would lead them to be employable in areas best
suited to their desires and God-given gifts.
We hope to accomplish this
in an atmosphere free from the rigidity of traditional classroom teaching
techniques, bias of public education, and negative pressures of peer influence.
We hope to instill in our children a desire for Godly virtue, sacrifice and
love for others while they are in their formative years.

More like a scrapbook. We substituted Advent Bible Lessons for our normal Bible lessons. Lots of family events, community events, church events, traditions. Enjoy. |
